This one time at band camp…
I am a diehard sports fan. A fan because I was never a good athlete back in the day. A
fat stout 5’8 in high school doesn’t translate to football success. Or basketball. Or baseball.
Probably would have been better at cheerleading.
If “not listening in class” was a sport, I was an all-pro. Sorry Mrs. Peters
A guy I look up to, and respect, posted something on Facebook a bit ago — he even reads my emails — GASP!
It was a quote from an announcer during the NBA Finals game last night.
It’s not how you drive, it’s how you arrive
We all have different ways of doing biz.
Shit, look at me.
I send some of the weirdest emails (I admit…this one?) out, without making many offers. A weakness of mine, one of many.
I write these emails to provide some entertainment (hopefully)
My blog posts deal with my personal life. I try and tie a biz lesson in, and sometimes it is a stretch…I admit.
They are not properly titled, or SEO’d or a certain word count. The images are not properly tagged. I don’t do keyword research.
I could careless if they are indexed in Google, whatever the Hell that means.
There is no structure to my
life blog posts.
It’s Friday and I am home with the kids today.
I am writing this email from the kitchen counter while the 2 rugrats are playing in the
pool living room next to me.
I had no plans on sending an email today, as I sent one yesterday, but saw my friend Will post something and knew I had to steal his idea, as I was watching the game and loved the quote when I heard it.
Will helped me tie it in with biz, the guy is super smart. He’s heading to an event in San Diego next month, and is stopping off here in Vegas beforehand. He wants to meet and have a beer…or 10.
We might end up in Tijuana, who knows?
It’s your business, and you can do it how YOU want to do it.
Screw the rules, or how you are supposed to do things.
I tried to follow the rules for years and it left me miserable.
Like Frank Sinatra once said, “I did it my way”
Blaze YOUR own damn trail!
Color outside the lines
YOU are the captain on the ship.
Remember — it’s not how drive, it’s how you arrive
