How do you eat an elephant?
I use this phrase all the time with Amanda as I just think the answer has so much to do with life. I talk a lot about doing the work, day in & day out.
More of that in a few…
My buddy Conrad shared this in his Facebook group, and I wanted to share it with you.

I actually want to read LESS this year.
I read a lot, and I have no idea how much we retain when reading, but I know it’s not much for me.
Ok, so I did a quick Google search and found this little diagram;
So we remember 10% of what we read, according to Edgar Dale.
So my plan for this year, is to read one book per month, TWICE. I feel I will retain more, possibly 20%.
Maybe I should read the book 10x? To retain 100%?
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves 🙂
I am going to start re-reading books that I’ve already read/enjoyed.
First up on the list is, The Slight Edge.
It’s in my “top 3 books” of all-time.
If you haven’t read it check it out, it’s excellent.
The Secret to Success
Ok, so how do you eat an elephant?
Many of us (myself included) look for shortcuts to get us there, faster.
Or look for ways to speed up the process (to success).
There are no shortcuts
Although, from what I’ve found, there IS a secret to success (it’s unsexy). And you can read about the secret here.
You eat an elephant one bite at a time.
Just like anything in life, one step at a time.
