When someone plays with your hair…
Putting on clothes when they’re still warm from the dryer…
Cleaning your ears out after a shower…
Getting an unexpected package in the mail…
Ok, I admit…
…I love all those things.
Especially the unexpected packages in the mail (hint, hint).
So, Amanda called me this morning that her car stalled out on her way to work.
We just put $900+ in the damn thing.
It’s back at the shop, again.
On a side note, I hate VW beetles.
To say she was not having a good morning would be a slight understatement. So Ava & I went and picked her up.
She needed a car, so we went home so she could drop us off and use my car for the day.
There is a homeless man that hangs out at this intersection by the house. I attempted to give him food before, but by the time I went to McDonald’s and came back, he was gone.
Now, I love doing this for homeless people.
Last year for my birthday, Christian (Amanda’s 12-year old son) and I passed out 6 large pizzas to the homeless.
That’s all I wanted for my birthday, was to do that. C
So, this morning we see the homeless man, who is also a veteran. I was not aware of that, and I do what I can to help the vets.
Amanda, Ava (she was sleeping) and I went to McDonald’s.
We bought two breakfast sandwiches and an OJ.
We made it back in time to give him a nice, hot breakfast.
He was blown away by it.
It not only put a smile on his face, but Amanda’s as well.
Mine too, of course.
So there you have it, I am convinced there is no better feeling in the World, than to do something for a stranger.
Today, I want you, to pay it forward to a stranger.
Just a nice gesture to someone not expecting it.
Tell me it doesn’t make your day.
