This is something I struggled with for years.
Still do, but I have got better at it.
Most of us entrepreneurs deal with this on the daily.
To be honest, most people struggle with this.
The average attention span is now 8.25 seconds, down from 12 seconds in 2000.
What I am talking about is…
Staying focused is one of the hardest things in business.
You hear that you should be on every social site — doing YouTube videos, posting on Instagram, launch a podcast, posting to Facebook 3x per day, and 4x on the weekends, right?
Or you want to chase this biz opportunity or that one.
Or you need multiple income streams — You hear this one in the MLM market all the time.
When you’re chasing money, and not following your calling/passion/purpose/whatever you want to call it, you WILL get sidetracked!
No question about it.
You need to put on blinders.
You need to find the ONE sales activity that…brings in sales.
And do that over & over & over & over again.
It might be writing a weekly blog post, a podcast, a FB livestream, a daily email, YouTube videos, guest blogging, etc.
Pick ONE and dominate it.
It will take some “failing” to find what works for you, but once you find it, you need to be committed to it.
No matter what the gurus tell you is the “hot” new social channel that is going to “blow up”.
Consistency is key though.
Doing the daily work is how you achieve your goals.
It might seem unsexy or boring, and that is why I teach people to start a business that they have a passion for.
If you don’t have a passion for the work you’re doing, it’s easy to get distracted (trust me) and jump to the new business opportunity.
