What a month August was — Wow!
A son, a birthday, my parents came to visit, Amanda’s parents came to visit and to close out the month — my sister and her girlfriend came to visit.
Last but not least, the best month (revenue wise) in business — by far!
Things are looking very good to close out 2015.
Also, an opportunity of a lifetime is right under your nose.
Our Son Was Born
Ashton Michael Dukes was born at on August 6th.
My 34th birthday was on the 8th, the day we came home from the hospital.
I had the “pleasure” of sleeping on a hospital couch/bed for two nights. My chiropractor bill is going to be through the roof.
Good thing I have been slangin’ physical products on the Facebook lately.
Slangin’ what on Facebook?
Selling Physical Product on Facebook
I pretty much took Thursday – Sunday when we were in the hospital a few weeks back, having the baby.
I have never sold physical products online, only digital goods. In June, I started an eCommerce store for a little side project. This little store has turned into a nice additional revenue stream, with very little work, on my part. Although, the last few weeks I have spent more time on it as it is really starting to pick up steam — doing $15k+ in revenue in the month of August.
I have an assistant who fulfills all the orders for me, which makes it nice. I spend the majority of my time running Facebook ads to the store. Three weeks ago I had a goal of having my first $1,000 day. I wanted to consistently do $1,000 revenue days by November.
Well, things are going a little better than planned.
We had our first $1,000 day last Thursday.
Then $1,300+ on Friday.
And now doing $1,000 days consistently.
Here is a screenshot of the last 7 days…
For the month, the profit margins are around 33% — meaning I am putting $0.33 in my piggybank, for every dollar generated. This is all on the front end, this does not include the backend. Initially, this was to get customers as a “loss leader” or perhaps break even, however it is now systematized and turning a nice profit.
Now, I can’t take all the credit. I have to give credit where credit is due. And a lot of the credit goes….
Mr. Mark Zuckerberg
You see, I am using Facebook advertising and it’s laser targeting capabilities to advertise my products. I can get my products in front of people who are interested in what I am selling AND who are online spenders.
Online spenders — How in the Hell do you know that Adam?
Psssttt….Facebook gives us that data.
Along with a ton of other data, but you can use that to your advantage.
Maybe you want to target people who like peanut butter & jelly sammiches…
You can do that…
Now you see why Facebook has given us all an opportunity of a lifetime?
Facebook is not just for sharing what you had for dinner, funny cat videos or your aunt’s opinion of Donald Trump.
No, no it’s actually a great place to sell your widgets, your services or your expertise. I have been using Facebook to sell my expertise for the last 2+ years.
My Facebook ads ran 24/7 as people buy all around the clock. Even while I am sleeping, or out and about or when I am playing flag football on Sunday afternoons. In fact, we took Ava to a petting zoo for her birthday on Sunday and the store generated $1,300 while I was with my family — petting deer, goats and a pig.
Here is the deer getting a mouthful of Ava’s little dress…
The system is always running for me. My assistant fulfills the orders, so I can take a few days off and thing still run smoothly. It is absolutely a beautiful business model. I have been a digital entrepreneur for 5 years and this, by far, is the best business I ever done seen.
All of the ads are not winners…
You Win Some & You Lose More
A lot of my Facebook ads bomb.
But when I find a winner, I increase my ad spend.
When increasing your ad spend, you have to gradually do it. You can’t spend $5/day and then spend $100 the very next day. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work like that (damn you Mark!).
You have to go in increments like $7.50/day, then $12/day, then $18/day, then $25/day and on and on. You have to do it slowly, for it to be effective. This involves a shit ton of patience and one of the hardest things to do.
Set up 10 ads and you should find 1 or 2 winners.
When you find a winner, let it run til it can’t run no mo’
Some last a week or 2.
Some last a few months — those are the best!
If you’re not using Facebook advertising, why not?
It’s simply the BEST marketing channel out there, and I would say the best marketing platform of all-time. Although, I was not around when telegrams were cool.
You can get your message in front of your perfect client for as low as $5/day.
I use it for B2B lead generation.
I use it to sell homes for my clients.
I use it to generate leads for my clients.
I use it to sell digital products.
Now, I use it to sell physical products.
In fact, 10.7 people out of 100, who land on my site, who have NEVER heard of me, become a customer. They are surfing on Facebook, see my ad, land on my site and buy something. Average eCommerce conversions are around 3 out of 100, so this little method is extremely effective.
Facebook is the opportunity of a lifetime for anyone who wants to sell something, start a movement or fund their dreams.
It’s a no brainer and you have ZERO excuse to start chasing your dreams today. There are hundreds, if nto thousands, of YouTube videos showing you got to do Facebook ads properly. It’s what I did in 2010 — self taught myself web design by watching 4,261 hours of video — give or take.
Facebook has the power to change your life.
We live in amazing times.
Take advantage of it.
We should all be thanking Mark Zuckerberg for the opportunity he has created for all of us.
Well, the ones that want it bad enough.
